HOW COULD I FORGET

Everything going smooth

I actually was on a roll trying to clean out the closet

Got a call 3:47PM

Not sure which school bc the dump WCS all have same incoming #

@#%^

OH I JUST STARTED TO CRY LIKE A BABY

I FORGOT MY BABY AT SCHOOL

NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I FORGOTTEN ABOUT ONE OF MY CHILDREN

I JUMPED IN THE CAR HYSTERICALLY CRYING

CALLED MIA THE CLOSEST TO LONGVIEW

STILL CRYING I MANAGED TO GET OUT

CAN YOU GET MY BABY ?

I WILL MEET YOU AT YOUR HOUSE

THERE WAS MY FRIEND WHEN I NEEDED HER

SO TRYING TO HOLD BACK TEARS WITH DEEP BREATHS

WE MET IN THE PARKING LOT OF SCHOOL

I JUMPED OUT

PUT MY MOTHERLY HANDS ON JOHNNY'S FACE

AND SAID I AM SO SORRY BABY

HE'S LIKE THAT'S OKAY AND ASKED

WHY ARE YOU CRYING?

I MERELY SAID IN A FEW WORDS

BECAUSE I LOVE YOU

AND WE KISSED AND HUGGED

-A FORGETFUL MOM

It happens to all of us at some point. Don't be to bummed on yourself ;) It really was sweet when Johnny said he didn't want you to be sad. That boy loves his mama. Glad I could be so close and help out.

Just after I had Ashtyn, I fell asleep on the couch and slept right through time to pick Mackenzie up from school. She has adjusted and forgiven me--she does like to remind me from time to time though!

Cheryl-don't beat yourself up. I've had several close shaves myself, all moms have done this. Thankfully kids are resilient and forgiving. What a sweetie!

Okay, I'm going to have to remember this post for the future... because I KNOW this will happen to me someday when I have kids in school. And it will be nice to know that I'm not alone! ;)
