So I found this atricle while looking for my FYI Friday post.
Today was the 3rd day of my pantry procrastination! I love it! I don't have to clean, I don't have to cook, I don't have to sweep..... Yahoo! I get to go up into my hide away (my bedroom) to escape from it all.
Was it a coinkidink that I ran across this article or a sign from up above to kick it into gear? Not sure yet. See I am the type of peron who is all or nothing. I do it right the first time because there is no going back. Once I put the cereal boxes in, they will stay there forever..esp if it is bran flakes.
So am I a procrastiner no I don't think so...Is it OCD...no not that....Hum....lets chew on this before we come up with a diagnosis.
I'll run this by my therapist and get back you on it. Brian's diagnosis is JPN (just-plain-nuts)
Step2 Break up a large, difficult project into several smaller pieces. Tackle each piece separately.
Step3 Set deadlines for completion. Try assigning yourself small-scale deadlines ' for example, commit to reading a certain number of pages in the next hour.
Step4 Work in small blocks of time instead of in long stretches. Try studying in one- to two-hour spurts, allowing yourself a small break after each stint.
Step5 Start with the easiest aspect of a large, complex project. For example, if you're writing an academic paper and find that the introduction is turning out to be hard to write, start writing the paper's body instead.
Step6 Enlist others to help. Make a bet with your family, friends or co-workers that you will finish a particular project by a specified time, or find other ways to make yourself accountable.
Step7 Eliminate distractions or move to a place where you can concentrate. Turn off the television, the phone ringer, the radio and anything else that might keep you from your task.

I'm totally with you, girlfriend. I'm still waiting for someone to come help me file my taxes! And the most dispicable part of that is that we are getting a huge refund this year! Where's my back-up???!!!
Tell me when to come over and I will help you put everything back in the pantry :)
